Welcome To Reflecting On The Past

“Reflecting On The Past”
This is a photo of the Pioneer Cemetery in the Nicola Valley, B.C., Canada. While walking on drearily dull spongy moss and long grass through this cemetery I admired the aged burial plots while looking for a unique photo. After about a half an hour of arduous photo positions at many grave sites I failed to find a photo that I was satisfied with. I began wandering back to the vehicle feeling defeated when I noticed the aged and dusty mirror at the forefront of the cemetery. While shifting positions with the mirror’s reflection, the sun and a few unwanted shadows I was finally satisfied. The few plots revealed in the mirror portray the overall scene of the cemetery, unmaintained and overgrown with grasses.
I like the unique mirrored cemetery photo of the “Pioneer Cemetery” and tried to rejuvenate the beauty in a way that the viewer will appreciate it while literally thousands of vehicles drive by paying little to no attention to the grave site.
I hope you enjoy the photo and it will entice you to stop and have a look at the old cemeteries alongside the road before driving by.
